President Of 2K Games Christoph Hartmann Leaves Company

by Brian Shea on May 04, 2017 at 01:00 PM

Longtime Take-Two executive Christoph Hartmann has left his post as President of 2K Games. Hartmann has worked for Take-Two for two decades and was instrumental in founding the 2K Games label in 2005.

A representative at Take-Two Interactive Software provided us with the following statement:

“We can confirm that there has been a management change at the leadership level of 2K.  For more than a decade, Christoph Hartmann has helped 2K to become an industry leader and we are grateful for his contributions and wish him well on his future endeavors. This change in leadership will have no impact on 2K’s current pipeline of titles in development, and we look forward to this new chapter in the history of our label.”

No reason was given for Hartmann's departure.

Our Take
It's always sad to see the longtime staff members who helped to shape a company leave, but 20 years is a long time to do anything. Here's wishing a great post-2K life for Hartmann.
