Today Ubisoft Montreal released a Rainbow Six Siege update that tweaks how some operators play. Outlined in the Ubisoft forums, Patch 2.1.3 focuses its major changes on Glaz, Echo, and Montagne.

For Glaz, the Spetnaz marksman's thermal scope introduced in the Velvet Shell Midseason Reinforcements now makes it easier to tell when a shot lands on an enemy by reducing the noise on the enemy outline, tweaking the contrast, and making sure the players can see the blood splatter.

The developers felt Montagne's LFP586 was a little too powerful, so they are increasing the hip fire spread to make sure the shielded operator must expose himself if he wants to make quick work of an enemy.

Echo players should be happy with the news that his Yokai drone's disorienting sonic burst now registers hits on all body parts of an enemy instead of just a headshot.

Ubisoft also issued a news update about Hibana's X-KAIROS launcher pellets not detonating. The underlying technical issue is more complicated than the developers expected, so they need more time to complete the fix. The developers expect to have the problem resolved before the end of season two.
