Bandai Namco has released a trailer for an upcoming, untitled project. The company says the animated style of the trailer is "inspired" by the game (which likely means the won't look exactly like this when it reveals next week). The trailer ends with the Twitter hashtag "#preparetodine" which, considering the company has Dark Souls (whose complete edition was dubbed "Prepare To Die") under its belt, could be indicative of what form the game takes, or at least, the tone it's going for.

The animated trailer cycles through a number of dark images, such as a woman licking blood off her chin as she's enveloped by dark ribbons, a figure in a bright-red feathered cloak approach a chapel, and a hand holding a torn playing card. Multiple people are wearing gas masks, and much of the imagery looks similar to Bloodborne's Victorian aesthetic, though a dumpster in one of the shots indicates the game may take place closer to modern times.

The company also said we can expect a larger announcement for the title on April 20. You can watch the trailer below.

Our Take
Considering the "preparetodine" hashtag, this could be related to the Souls series. My guess is a spiritual successor akin to Bloodborne (but not Bloodborne 2). If the game ends up looking anything like this animated trailer, consider my interest piqued.
