Cities: Skylines Xbox One Edition Launching This Month

by Manon Hume on Apr 02, 2017 at 03:50 PM

First announced in February, the Xbox One edition of Paradox Interactive's city management sim now has a release date. Players on both Xbox One and Windows 10 can join the metropolis-building action of Cities: Skylines starting on April 21, 2017.

Priced at $39.99, the Xbox One release of Cities: Skylines will include the core game as well as the After Dark expansion, which adds a day-night cycle to your city and a nightlife to go along with it. Other expansions, such as the Snowfall, Natural Disasters, and upcoming Mass Transit expansion, are not bundled in the Xbox One Edition.

Our Take
Considering the depth of the game's management system, I'm curious to see how Cities: Skylines interface will translate to a controller. It might be interesting to see if mods will be supported in the Xbox One version, too, given the PC version's openness to modding through tools like the Steam Workshop.
