Report: Latest PlayStation 4 Update Is Causing Network Issues For Some Users
Released on March 9, Sony's version 4.50 update for PlayStation 4 added many new features to the platform, including external hard drive compatibility and Boost Mode for improved game performance on the PS4 Pro. Polygon reported today that an unfortunate error after the update is also preventing some users from connecting the console to Wi-Fi.
The first user to report the issue posted on the PlayStation forums the day of the update. Others soon cited the same problem, saying they received an error message that their passwords were incorrect or the network was busy. Troubleshooting on their part has not resolved the issue. After two weeks of silence, Sony has now stated that, “We are aware and are looking into the situation.”

Our Take
Two weeks is a long time to wait for a fix for such an important feature of the PS4. Affected users' frustration with both the issue and Sony's silence are understandable. Hopefully Sony finds a solution quickly and communicates more clearly with users in the meantime.
