Rock Band 4's March Update Features Crossovers With Mass Effect, Archer

by Zak Wojnar on Mar 15, 2017 at 07:15 AM

Rock Band 4 is getting a new update this week, and it's bringing a host of new items, including crossover promotions from some unlikely places.

Electronic Arts, the publisher of the original Rock Band titles (before Harmonix went independent), is including some Mass Effect: Andromeda-themed outfits in RB4, from a Normandy Bass to outfits based on the iconic N7 armor.

Meanwhile, a brand-new character is taking the stage, just in time for the upcoming release of the DLC track "Danger Zone" by Kenny Loggins. Yes, it's Sterling Archer, the titular protagonist of FXX's wacky and raunchy spy comedy, Archer. To match the art style of the show, Archer's character model has a unique cel-shaded look, which really makes him stand out from the rest of the Rock Band 4 cast.

Check out a trailer of Archer in action, singing what he would like to think is his theme song, Danger Zone:

Rock Band 4's March Update releases tomorrow, March 16. The next title in the series, Rock Band VR, an Oculus Rift exclusive, comes out on March 23.
