Ark: Survival Evolved Dev Starts Mod Support Program

by Matthew Kato on Mar 01, 2017 at 05:00 AM

Studio Wildcard has announced that it is starting a Sponsored Mods program to support modding in Ark: Survival Evolved, which is currently in Early Access on PC.

The program aims to support 15 mod projects each month with $4,000 in development costs and other support. Completed mods will then be considered for inclusion into the game's final release on PC and consoles, which is expected this year.

The developer says that so far over 2,500 mods have been created for the title.

Our Take
Making mods is big step towards building a resume for possible employment. So, apart from the money, the dev assistance that Studio Wildcard could provide could be invaluable.
