Facebook Founder Mark Zuckerberg Experiments With Oculus VR Gloves

by Daniel Tack on Feb 10, 2017 at 05:47 AM

In a post on Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg has showcased what appears to be new Oculus Rift VR gloves. In the post, Zuckerberg comments "Wearing these gloves, you can draw, type on a virtual keyboard, and even shoot webs like Spider Man. That's what I'm doing here."

Associated photos show Zuckerberg engaging in other activities around the Oculus research lab in Redmond, WA, with the comment "The goal is to make VR and AR what we all want it to be: glasses small enough to take anywhere, software that lets you experience anything, and technology that lets you interact with the virtual world just like you do with the physical one."

Our Take
While I personally have zero faith in VR taking off for the interactive entertainment mass consumer market (and I'm not just saying that now after we've had a chance to see how things are playing out) anytime soon, it's fascinating to see how technology is moving to the inevitable future. VR and AR technologies will change the world someday.
