Blizzard Teases Year Of The Rooster Event For Overwatch

Overwatch's next event begins January 24, and it's based around the Chinese New Year, which happens to be the Year of the Rooster in 2017.

Mei is featured in the teaser, but exactly what the event will offer is currently a mystery. New skins and other loot box items are basically guaranteed, but it could also mean new modes. "Great fortune" also implies opportunities to make more money.

The Korean Overwatch twitter account tweeted out a separate teaser featuring D.Va in a new skin.

We've reached out to Blizzard for more details about the event. The event beings on January 24, but  the Year of the Rooster begins officially on January 28 and ends on February 15, 2008. It's unlikely the event will last the same amount of time.
