Darkest Dungeon's Radiant Update Delays Crimson Court DLC

by Matthew Kato on Jan 16, 2017 at 03:55 AM

Darkest Dungeon developer Red Hook Studios originally hoped the game's Crimson Court DLC would be out early this year. However, due to some other work on the title, the DLC content is releasing a little later than intended.

The Crimson Court DLC will now come out in April. Red Hook says that a "significant" amount of work for the DLC is already in the can, but the decision to add content via the Radiant Update caused the delay.

The Radiant update hits in early February (on PC/Mac/Linux – later for PS4/Vita), bringing with it a quicker intro for the game, quality of life tweaks, and new champion dungeon monsters (the Bone Bearer shown above). The studio says it hopes to have a public beta for the update before its release.

Our Take
We still don't know a lot of details about the Crimson Court, which makes it difficult to be too disappointed by its delay.
