by Suriel Vazquez on Jan 14, 2017 at 04:40 AM

This may be the last week we have before games start hitting on the regular. Next week we have a bevy of new releases, and the release calendar doesn't look like it'll be slowing down for a while. In the meantime, though, there's plenty of stuff to watch this weekend.

Awesome Games Done Quick will have its finale today, but that still means we have hours and hours of speedruns left before the concluding Undertale speedrun. (Stream / Schedule)

In the world of eSports, the biggest tournament this weekend is the World Electronic Sports Games, which will be holding major tournaments for four competitive games, offering prize pools from $300,000 to $1.5 million. Along with the event's main stream (Stream) You can find each game's schedule and stream location below. In addition to the schedules posted, you can find each day's schedule by clicking the link on the game's respective Twitch channel.

Later today marks the return of 2 Old 2 Furious, a tournament series highlight older Capcom fighting games like Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Street Fighter Alpha 2, and Street Fighter EX2 Alpha Plus. So if you bemoan the state of modern fighters and want to see some retro fighter action, the action starts at 5pm Central. (Stream)

On Sunday, the King of Fighters XIV's World Championship will be holding one of its first qualifying events in Peru. This will serve as the introduction of SNK's attempts to build a pro circuit around the game (similar to the Capcom Pro Tour), so it should be interesting watch. The action starts Sunday at 10am Central. (Stream)

That's it for this weekend! Let us know if we missed any events, or if you'd like to see a particular game covered, in the comments below.
