Bandai Namco To Bring Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Tales Series, More To Switch

by Suriel Vazquez on Jan 14, 2017 at 05:21 AM

Amidst the numerous announcements of games coming to Switch, Bandai Namco announced it will be bringing a number of previously-announced and new titles to Nintendo's new console.

First, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will be coming to Switch. Though the anime fighting game released last November on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, the Switch version will include local co-op (previous version only had the option to play local competitive multiplayer).

No official release date was given, but the company did mention it plans to bring a few other series to the console, specifically mentioning the Tales and Taiko Drum Master series, though it did not specify whether this would mean these would be ports of existing titles or new entries.

You can check out the full catalog of announced Switch titles here.

Our Take
The local co-op could make this version of Xenoverse 2 the one to play, assuming the Joycons hold up to extended gaming sessions. The Tales announcement seems par for the course, but the Taiko Drum Master series announcement strikes me as odd. Will the Joycons work as drum sticks? We'll have to wait and find out.
