by Brian Shea on Jan 13, 2017 at 09:58 AM

Update: Capcom has released a trailer for its latest incarnation of Street Fighter II, which is headed to Nintendo's new console. In addition to showing off the new visuals, a second-long clip towards the end of the video teases a first-person view of Ryu pummeling an opponent. Is this a tease of a VR-related project? Or simply a glimpse of flashy CG clip for the new game? We'll have to wait to find out, but you can check it out for yourself below:

Original Story: One of the most classic fighting games of all time is getting another iteration in Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers. The game is being developed by Capcom and features new fighters and even new multiplayer options.

Ultra Street Fighter II includes two new characters, Evil Ryu and Violent Ken. Players can choose between smooth HD graphics or the pixel-style graphics the original games feature. You can see additional screenshots of the game below.

Two players can compete on the same Switch using the Joy-Con controllers, and even team up to take on the same opponent simultaneously using the new "Buddy Fight" mode. Capcom also teases additional single-player modes that will be announced at a later date.

No release information is currently available, but the listing on Nintendo's site suggests the game will be available physically and digitally. Capcom says that series producer Yoshinori Ono will appear to share more details during Nintendo's Treehouse stream scheduled for Friday morning.
