Yooka-Laylee Release Date, Pre-Order Toybox & New World Announced
Developer Team17 has announced platformer Yooka-Laylee will come out on April 11 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC – but the planned Wii U version won't be coming. Instead, the studio says it's looking to bring the game to the upcoming Switch system from Nintendo.
Pre-orders are now open for digital and physical formats (for non-Kickstarter backers), and if you do pre-order the title you'll get an instant unlock of the game's Toybox, which is a sandbox slice that the developer says is spoiler-free.
In regards to those fans who have have backed the Wii U version, Team17 says they can move their pledge to any of the other versions, including the Switch. For more info regarding the game's release for Kickstarter backers, click the source link below.
