Twitch Automates Livestream Moderation To Create More Positive Chat Rooms
Twitch is introducing a new technology that will help automatically remove inappropriate content from its chat.
AutoMod released today, and according to Twitch it is a “new tool for Twitch streamers that employs machine learning and natural language processing to identify and block inappropriate content from appearing in chat.”
Twitch users will be able to opt-in to this new tool via an option in their settings page. Users will also be able to adjust the degree of AutoMod’s filtering to make it more or less conservative.

We all know that the internet can be a pretty hostile place, so the more tools that we have online to help filter out negativity the better. Hopefully this will make Twitch a more user friendly platform for everyone, and help cut down on some of the negativity, bigotry, and sexism we've seen in the past.
