Hitman November Update Out Now

by Michael Leri on Nov 28, 2016 at 09:40 AM

Keeping in line with their perpetual updates, Hitman's November Update is out now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It brings some tweaks, a new Elusive Target, and a bevy of bug fixes.

Offline Mode is one of the more substantial changes. Unlocked gear, weapons, starting/pickup locations, Elusive Target rewards, and Challenge Pack unlocks can now be stored for offline use (as opposed to the old requirement of needing a server connection to access those items). However, to get new unlocks, you will need a server connection.

The other aspects of this update revolve around small aesthetic tweaks like changing the background on pause menu screen, adding sound effects when you unlock a challenge, marking off previously-used opportunities, overhauling the statistics page, and other minor but helpful changes.

The most peculiar change comes with the new ability to pull people out of windows. This update will allow Agent 47 to pull people out of window or balcony if he is hanging below them. But this move isn't perfect as enemies will not blame 47 even if they are looking directly at him. To remedy this, IO Interactive will remove the ability in the December Update and fix it in time for the January Update and disc release.

Today also marks the release of Elusive Target #15, which takes place in Marrakesh and will end on December 4. Hitman's December Content Schedule of Contracts and Elusive Targets will be detailed next week, even though specifics were scarce on the planned December Update. However, they did say that they are "very excited about as it will wrap up the year nicely and will be a great way for us to wish all of our players a happy holiday season."

Our Take
IO's commitment to Hitman over the past eight months has been commendable. Small tweaks and new targets will keep this game alive until the eventual second season.
