Legends of Localization is a website that examines how video games change and evolve during their localization process. What jokes are changed to fit local audiences, how certain phrases are adapted – all of these aspects shape the final product we get to play, and Legends of Localization has long been cataloging those changes in detail.
The folks behind that website are set to release their second book next week. Titled Legends of Localization Book 2: Earthbound, book chronicles many of the changes the title received during its move from Japan to the West. It's a thick volume, with an impressive 432 full-color pages filled with tidbits, trivia, and history lessons.
