What's Coming Up For Battlefield 1
Battlefield 1 developer DICE has outlined what's upcoming for the game courtesy of a blog post.
Hardcore servers are "coming soon" according to the blog post, but no other details were given.
The size of the Suez map in Conquest is being tweaked for balancing, including the introduction of five flags versus three. Also, the capture areas for the control points in the map's villages (flags A and C) are being reduced. Finally, each team base receives an additional armored vehicle.
November 16 marks the start of a week-long Battlefest featuring new activities, rewards, community missions, and the first official custom game – Fog of War. As you can imagine, this deathmatch limits player visibility.
The game will also receive an update in November that includes numerous tweaks, a rent-a-server program, a new custom game, and more.
In December, the free Giant's Shadow map is released. The map is based on the Battle of the Selle (1918), and takes place in the open country.
