Weekend Warrior – Laughing In The Face Of Technological Dystopia

by Kevin Slackie on Oct 21, 2016 at 02:00 PM

Halloween chills are in full swing this weekend with temperatures getting down into the 40s. It's the perfect weather for staying inside and playing something creepy. Most of the staff will be checking out Gears of War 4 or trying to nab those precious Overwatch event loot boxes before the event is over. If you're in the mood for something spooky Black Mirror just got its third season on Netflix. Let's us know in the comments what scary things you'll be up to before this All Hallow's Eve.

Brian Shea (@BrainPShea) – I might not have a ton of time to game this weekend, but I'm planning on working some Pokémon SoulSilver, Batman: Arkham Origins, Overwatch, and Hitman into my Saturday and/or Sunday.

Ben Hanson (@yozetty) – This weekend I'm certainly hoping to play more of Jackbox Party Pack 3... it's reaaal fun. Other than that, I'll probably continue to blast through Battlefield 1's neato campaign. Oh, and I should probably give Civilization VI a spin... I just don't think I'm smart enough. Have a good weekend!

Javy Gwaltney (@HurdyIV) – I'm going to be marathoning an absurd amount of fall releases: Gears of War 4, Battlefield 1, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, and Mafia III all while enjoying a few beers and texting insulting messages to Grandmaster Dan Tack himself.

Daniel Tack (@dantack) – Civ 6

Ian Boudreau (@iboudreau) – There's new DLC out for Total War: Warhammer, called The King and the Warlord, so I'm planning on starting a new Greenskins campaign to try out the newly-added Squig units. While I'm at it, I might jump back into Vermintide to finally play the Drachenfels expansion missions.

Michael Leri (@OrangeFlavored) – It's my birthday weekend (you can send me gift cards and coupons) so I'll try to find something to do in the city with my girlfriend to celebrate my quarter-life crisis. I hope "something to do in the city" doesn't magically turn into grinding out loot boxes in Overwatch (finally got the Skullyata skin), replaying Rise of the Tomb Raider on PS4, and finishing Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and South Park: The Stick of Truth again.

Kevin Slackie (@KSlackie) – My weekend is gonna consist of playing games and trying to watch all of the new Black Mirror because it's like a modern-day Twilight Zone. I'm gonna try to bounce between Gears of War 4 and The Silver Case but chances are I'll just play Shin Megami Tensei IV and Ace Attorney 6. Besides that it's time to check out some Halloween costume ideas!

Suriel Vazquez (@SurielVazquez) – I finally managed to beat the Junkenstein's Revenge Overwatch brawl on Hard, so I don't have to worry about trying to cram in more practice for it this weekend. Hopefully, I'll be able to finish my co-op run of Gears of War 4 instead. But who knows, I may end up going for the other two Junkenstein-related achievements I have left. I'll probably be diving into Battlefield 1 after hearing all the buzz about it, too. Or maybe try to return to Mafia III after dropping it halfway through? Nah, probably Overwatch.
