You Can Watch Dragon Ball Super With English Subtitles This Weekend

by Suriel Vazquez on Oct 19, 2016 at 02:31 PM

Dragon Ball Super is the 18-year-late sequel to Dragon Ball Z, picking up right after the end show's Buu saga. Although the anime (along with last year's Dragon Ball Xenoverse) has managed to renew interest in the long-dormant Dragon Ball series, fans looking for a version with English subtitles have had to wait patiently.

Fortunately, they won't have to wait much longer. Toei Animation has announced that Dragon Ball Super will be simulcasting on anime streaming services Crunchyroll, Daisuki, and Anime Lab starting October 22 at 6pm Pacific Time. Subscribers to these services in North and South America, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand will be able to watch the latest episode, "“Don’t Define Saiyan Cells! The Curtain Rises on Vegeta’s Intense Battle!!" at the same time it airs on Japanese television. From there, they can expect to tune in every week for new episodes.

No word was given as to whether older episodes will receive subtitles, or when an English voice translation of the show may be coming.
