Last month, Microsoft announced it would be expanding wireless controller support for its new bluetooth-enabled Xbox One controllers by including it out-of-the-box in certain brands of PCs and other devices.

Yesterday the company announced the controller will also be compatible with the Samsung Gear VR. The first title to enable the controller on the headset will be Minecraft: Gear VR edition, which MineCon attendees will be able to see and play for themselves.

"We're working hard to make the Xbox Wireless Controller compatible with all controller-supported Gear VR games and guture games, too," the company said in its statement.

Our Take
Anyone looking to dig up their Gear VR and mess around with some controller-compatible games using their old controller should note that this only works for the newer, bluetooth-compatible version of the Xbox One controller. Still, this is pretty cool.
