Forza Horizon To Be Delisted From Xbox Store

by Suriel Vazquez on Sep 24, 2016 at 10:19 AM

Around the time it was announced Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse would be removed from the Xbox Store, it was also announced that it and Forza Horizon had been added to the Xbox One backwards compatibility list. At the time the Horizon's addition to the list seemed fairly innocuous.

Yesterday, the official Forza Motorsport website announced the first Forza Horizon will also be delisted from the Xbox Store on October 20, as well as all of its accompanying DLC. Players who already own the game by then will still be able to download it and the DLC after that date, but it will no longer be for sale.

The delisting seems rather timely, with the release of Forza Horizon 3. You can read Andrew Reiner's review of the game here.

Our Take
I'm sad to hear of another game being delisted from digital services, but in this case, it's a little easier to take, since Forza Horizon 3 doesn't deviate from the original in ways that might make fans of the original upset to no longer have their favorite title on the store. If this were a Forza Motorsport, though, the situation would be a bit different.
