Urien Joins The Fray In Street Fighter V Update

by Jeff Cork on Sep 23, 2016 at 03:30 AM

Capcom has released a new update for Street Fighter V, which adds a returning fighter to the roster, as well as daily targets that may come in handy for earning the in-game cash to unlock Urien, But wait – there's more!

One of the biggest additions is the reintroduction of Urien. The character, who first appeared in Street Fighter III: 2nd Impact, fires off slow-moving projectiles while looking stylish. You can unlock him for 100,000 Fight Money, or pony up $5.99 in Earth dollars.

Players who don't like the idea of paying for characters with real money get a new mode that might help the cause. The game has new daily targets, which reward players with bonuses ranging from 100 to 5,000 Fight Money each day. They're timed, so you'll need to check in regularly to take full advantage of the new mode. Players can also play against the A.I. in a standard versus mode, which will give you a chance to test out your skills against something that won't humiliate you – or at least won't audibly laugh at your defeat.

Finally, all of the launch stages now have environmental KOs, so you can show off how great and amazing you are by incorporating the very world around you in your beatdowns. Or, if you aren't so hot at the game, you can watch something slightly more interesting than your character fly through the air in slow motion.
