Alongside new PS4 consoles, Sony is giving some of the console's accessories redesigns.
The biggest, and coincidentally physically smallest, redesign, is coming to the PlayStation 4 controller. Light can now be emitted from the front of the controller and can be used for gameplay purposes, like displaying a health bar, for example. You can also connect the controller to the system directly with a USB cable. Previously, the USB cable only provided power while the controller continued to use a wireless connection.
The camera has a more rounded look to it now, but it is functionally the same. The Platinum Wireless Headset is made of high-end materials and features 7.1 virtual surround sound powered by Sony's 3D audio technology.
A vertical stand will also be available for the new PS4 redesigns. All of these items will be available on September 15, with the headset coming this holiday.
