Witcher 3 Getting A New Update To Coincide With GotY Edition

by Jeff Cork on Aug 29, 2016 at 05:04 AM

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is getting a Game of the Year edition tomorrow, but that's not all that's happening to Geralt and pals. The game's also getting a fairly significant update, which brings the game up to version 1.30 and fixes a host of glitches and other issues.

The patch is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC tomorrow. Among other things, it adds PlayStation-controller prompts to the PC version of the game if you're using that input device, and also addresses some issues with the Steam controller. A few bugged quests can now be completed, and a strange-sounding glitch that involves missing horse tails has also been fixed.

You can check out the complete patch notes here.

Our Take
My experience wasn't blocked by any of these issues – thank goodness – but it's nice to know that it's still being supported. That missing horse tail issue in particular sounds horrifying. Those things are there for a reason. Yuck.
