Marvel's steel-skinned hero played a large role in Netflix's Jessica Jones, and now he's getting his own series. To prepare for its debut a month from now, Netflix has revealed a new trailer for Luke Cage.
In the teaser, which is an extended look at a scene from Daredevil Season 2, Mike Colter's Luke Cage fights thugs near a boxing ring. Unaware of his superhuman abilities, they open fire. Cage says, "I guess you haven't heard about me."
Bullets bounce off Cage like rubber, and the confused foes stop shooting. The short trailer has a more lighthearted tone than previous teasers, such as the one revealed at San Diego Comic-Con, where Cage takes on gangsters in an epic fight.
The first season of Luke Cage is slated to premiere September 30 on Netflix.
