Mortal Kombat XL Might Be Coming To PC After All, Public Beta Now Available

by Suriel Vazquez on Aug 25, 2016 at 08:07 AM

Back in January, Warner Bros. cut off support for the PC version of Mortal Kombat X after it suffered a string of technical problems. Now it seems the company might finally recommit to updating the PC version of the game.

Earlier today, an "enhanced online beta" for Mortal Kombat XL (the upgraded version of the game which included much of its downloadable content) cropped on the Steam store page for Mortal Kombat X. According to a notice on the page, the beta will run from now until Monday, August 29. The beta client is separate from the main client, which means even those who did not originally purchase the game can play in the beta.

Our Take
I was waiting for a deal on Mortal Kombat XL to buy the game on PlayStation 4, but as someone who bought the PC version of Mortal Kombat X, seeing it re-emerge on Steam means I won't have to. Hopefully most of the bugs are sorted out this time around.
