Rumor: Artist Leaks Alleged Destiny 2 Concept Boards

by Elise Favis on Aug 10, 2016 at 08:30 AM

Concept images for what appears to be for Destiny 2, which is due out in 2017, have surfaced online through artist Aziz Dosmetov's reels.

Dosmetov has previously worked on Destiny: The Taken King. Now, upcoming art for Destiny's sequel look to have been leaked. Below, we've gathered the leaked assets, a few of which portray a large "2" in the midst of smoke, flames, and decay. We also see fiery outlines of what might be new subclasses for the hunter, titan and warlock. Later images also seem to showcase The Traveler sitting over The First City, which looks to be burning. Could Destiny 2 depict the fall of the last bastion of humanity?

Bungie and Activision have offered no statement on the apparent leak. With no official confirmation from Bungie, it is unclear whether these are the real deal, and because they are concept art, the images portrayed below are subject to change in the final product.

Our Take
Considering Dosmetov's previous work entailing The Taken King, and the quality of the images, it definitely gives the impression of authenticity. From what we know, it's likely that this is footage for an upcoming trailer, though once again, we can't confirm at this time whether it's real.
