DICE is about to unify your Battlefield experience on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. This summer, the studio is implementing a new user interface that will allow you to launch any of the three games available on current-generation consoles.

Battlefield 4 is getting attention first, with additional new features. Soon, you’ll be able to squad up before matches. The new user interface will also include a recommendation engine that suggests maps and modes for you and your team.

These features will also be in place when Battlefield 1 launches on October 21. After that, they’ll roll out to Hardline.

Once implemented, you’ll be able to take your party to any one of the Battlefield games you own from the same menu. You’ll be able to go from cops-and-robbers to contemporary China or back to the trenches of World War 1.

The new UI is in beta right now with a limited test audience. That pool will grow over time, and DICE will be sharing information on how you’ll be able to participate in the future.
