PSA: Xbox One Now Costs Half Of What It Did At Launch

by Elise Favis on Jul 24, 2016 at 01:05 PM

When the Xbox One launched in 2013, it had a hefty price tag of $499 attached to it. Now, while supplies last, Microsoft is offering the 500 GB version of the console for $249 for its summer sale.

This price cut marks the lowest price the Xbox One has ever been listed for, and its the third price cut in a little under two months. The offer pertains to any 500 GB Xbox One on the market, including bundles such as the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition bundle, the Special Edition Quantum Break bundle with white console, and the Name your Game bundle (which allows you a full download of one of the following games: Forza Motorsport 6, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, or Rare Replay).

Recently, it was announced that the Xbox One S, a 40 percent smaller edition of the console, will release by August 2, with the 2TB launch edition priced at $399.
