Gal Gadot, who played Wonder Woman in this summer's divisive Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie, is eager to explore Themyscira in the forthcoming Wonder Woman film, slated to open in theaters on June 2, 2017. Gadot revealed the first poster for the film via Twitter, calling the Wonder Woman role a "dream come true!"
We expect to hear (and hopefully see) more from the Wonder Woman film during DC Comics' San Diego Comic Con panels this weekend. Suicide Squad will obviously be the center of attention – as it opens in theaters next month – but Comic Con has fast become the place where comic movies are shown for the first time, and Wonder Woman seems like a prime candidate for those honors this year. Let's just hope we get a proper trailer online and don't experience seeing it for the first time through shaky and blurry cell phone footage from a fan in attendance.
