Niantic Now Taking Requests To Add New Pokéstops And Gyms For Pokémon Go

by Kyle Hilliard on Jul 14, 2016 at 06:39 AM

Niantic has created a submission form on its website that allows for the reporting of issues, as well the requesting of new Pokéstops and Gyms.

You can find the form here. Requesting a new Pokéstop/Gym requires a few details like the address and the latitude and longitude of the location you would like to start spitting out Pokéballs and hosting battles. The form also allows folks to submit a request for stops and Gyms to be removed. When we asked Niantic about that process last week, the developer's founder John Hanks said, "Well, from time to time we get a request from a business or an institution to not be a portal or a PokéStop. We gotten a few of those during the beta. We honor that if that request is made."

Our Take
My neighborhood is pretty barren, so I plan on requesting a few additions. I guess I need to find some close landmarks... or create some.
