Sony VP Of Publisher And Developer Relations Adam Boyes Leaving Sony
Sony's VP of publisher and developer relations Adam Boyes announced today his intentions to leave Sony and return to the world of game development.
Boyes made the announcement on twitter (you can see his tweets below) as well as on the PlayStation Blogcast where he said, “I want to go make games again.“ His history in the world of video games includes time with EA, Next Level Games, Midway, Capcom, Starbreeze, and Beefy Media. He leaves Sony after four years and two months, which he says is the longest he has ever held a job.
Boyes has made it clear he is getting back into game development, but has not yet expanded his future plans beyond that.
After an incredible journey here at PlayStation, I've made the very hard decision to return to the world of game development!

Our Take
Boyes has been great for Sony fostering many indie relationships with developers like Double Fine for PlayStation. I'm sure Sony is sad to see him go, but I'm curious to see what sort of games he will be working on in the future. My completely unfounded guess is he is doing something with John Vignocchi (former VP of production for Disney Infinity) as the two are old friends and are now in a position where they can work together.
