Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars will be available on the Wii U eShop tomorrow June 30 as part of Nintendo's Virtual Console service.
First released for the SNES in 1996, now you can replay this classic Mario game on your Wii U. We went back to the first RPG game in the Mario series ourselves for a Replay to reminiscence on when turn-based combat first arrived in the Mushroom Kingdom with its spiritual successor series Paper Mario and others carrying on the tradition.
The Virtual Console release will feature off TV play on your Wii U gamepad, and will cost $7.99. For more on Mario's history within the RPG genre, check out this feature.
