Link's Awakening-Themed DLC Comes To Hyrule Warriors Next Week

by AJ Moser on Jun 23, 2016 at 06:55 AM

Hyrule Warriors: Legends on 3DS and Hyrule Warriors on Wii U both already boast a massive roster of characters from The Legend of Zelda universe, and is set to get even bigger next week. The Link's Awakening DLC pack lands on June 30, bringing a new character and Adventure map.

Marin, the companion character from the original Game Boy game, will be included in this new content as a playable hero. She attacks with musical instruments and magic, and can even summon the legendary Windfish as part of her combo chains. Get a look at her unique moves in the trailer below.

Tying in to Link's Awakening, the new Adventure Mode map is set on Koholint Island. Anyone who picks up the DLC will also get a new weapon for Linkle, a set of boots that allow her to attack with a flurry of kicks and spins. 15 new My Fairy costumes are included as well.

More Hyrule Warriors: Legends DLC is scheduled for later this year, including packs based on the Nintendo DS titles Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks. While this trailer only includes visuals from the 3DS version of the game, the DLC will also be coming to Wii U.
