Activision's Ultimate Ghostbusters Bundle Revealed, Includes New Game And Movie
As previously announced, a brand new Ghostbusters game that presents an original story set in the same universe as the film series is coming on July 12. A new bundle has been announced that includes the game, a digital copy of the new movie, as well as costumes and dashboard themes.
Coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on July 12, the new standalone game costs $49.99 and will follow an original cast of characters after the events of the film. The gameplay will be familiar to fans of isometric shooters, and each character can be upgraded with their own gear and weapons. Local four player co-op is supported, with each player taking control of one of the new paranormal investigators.
The Ultimate Bundle, priced at $64.99, comes with the game and the classic suit pack, featuring costume designs straight out of the original movie. This DLC will also be available to any player who pre-orders the standard version of the game. A digital copy of the latest Ghostbusters film is included in the Ultimate Bundle, but the code will be delivered at a later date to coincide with the digital release.
Our Take
We still know nothing about the new characters or story featured in the standalone game, so it might be safe to stay cautiously optimistic about this game for the time being. For a die-hard Ghostbusters fan who knows they're going to pick up the game and wants to own the film before they've even seen it in theaters, this could be a good deal.
