Ubisoft Confirms Watch Dogs Movie Is Still On The Way

Ubisoft reaffirmed that it is working with Sony to make Watch Dogs the next major action franchise to make the leap from video games to the silver screen. The first hints of a Watch Dogs film surfaced when Ubisoft began buying domains regarding the film in 2012.

In addition, Ubisoft is working to adapt Ghost Recon to a film with Warner Bros. starring Tom Hardy. The publisher is also looking at bringing the Rabbids and The Division. Not much is known about the Rabbids or Division movies, but Jake Gyllenhaal is rumored to slot into the lead role.

Watch Dogs 2 is currently set to launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 15, while the Assassin's Creed movie starring Michael Fassbender hits theaters December 21.
