Superhot VR Launches First For Oculus Touch

by Mike Futter on Jun 13, 2016 at 09:24 AM

Two years ago at E3, we had the chance to try a prototype version of Superhot designed for Oculus Rift. After the game launched this year, the Superhot team strongly suggested VR would happen at some point. Now we know it's not just a port.

Oculus is teaming with the indie team to release Superhot VR for Oculus Touch sometime in 2016. A trailer announcing the project, which has been in development for three years, shows off how motion control and dual wielding impact the experience.

For those that missed out on it in its PC and Xbox one release earlier this year, Superhot gives players a modicum of control over time. Time only moves at a normal rate when players move. There are no life bars and one hit will kill you, so you'll need to move carefully around bullets and predict their paths while facing overwhelming odds.
