It's an alternate year from the Forza Motorsport series, thus, it's time for a new Forza Horizon. Microsoft and developer Playground Games (in conjunction with Turn 10 Studios) unveiled Forza Horizon 3 and its new location – Australia.

Australia showcases a range of environments, from sandy beaches (complete with jump ramps) to cities to jungles. Appropriately, the game features different cars to suit the terrain. High-end Lamborghinis, baja dune buggies, off-road monsters, and rally cars are just a few of the types of vehicles you'll use. Playground Games says FH 3 features the series' largest car roster.

The Showcase races are back, and they include vehicle-toting helicopters and jets.

The big feature showed off on stage was the game's four-player cross platform racing (w/ Windows 10 PCs). You can drop into a friend's race in progress with one button press.

Forza Horizon 3 comes out for Xbox One and PC on September 27. Check out the trailer below.
