rumor

We strongly suspected Microsoft would be releasing information on new hardware at E3. Today, an alleged image of the Xbox One S has emerged online. If accurate, the new console brings some new features, but there's no mention of power differences yet.

The image that emerged first on NeoGAF (with another view of the console on a vertical stand showing up later) details what we can expect. If this image is real, the Xbox One S will be 40-percent smaller, feature 4K video output, high dynamic range, and a new controller design.

The vertical stand is also included in the box. No pricing or timing is listed. We'll know for sure tomorrow at Microsoft's conference.

Our Take
With no back sourcing we can trace, we're taking this with a grain of salt. This could be a fan rendering, but as such a potentially enormous piece of news that you're likely hear about today, we wanted to make you aware. We don't need to wait long to find out if this is real.
