With Assassin’s Creed set to hit theaters this December, Ubisoft may be turning its attention to another franchise for film adaptation. A report suggests that The Division is next up for the publisher.
Variety reports that Jake Gyllenhaal is on board to star in the film. It wouldn’t be his first go around with an Ubisoft-based movie. Gyllenhaal starred in 2010’s critically-panned Prince of Persia: Sands of Time.
Gyllenhaal would also be on board to co-produce the film, according to Variety. No writer is yet signed on, so if Variety is accurate, we won’t be seeing The Division in theaters for quite some time.
