Resident Evil 5 Arrives In Late June On Current-Gen Consoles
A listing on the official Xbox website points to a release date for Capcom’s next Resident Evil release. Resident Evil 5 appears to be arriving on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in late June.
The listing on Xbox.com suggests a June 28 release date for the current-gen version. If the description is accurate, Resident Evil 5 will sport 1080p resolution and improved frame rate.
All of the DLC is said to be part of the $20 package, including two story expansions, versus mode, and more. The No Mercy mode, previously exclusive to the PC version, will be part of the current-gen offering.
We’ve reached out to Capcom for confirmation. We’ll update once we know more.
This is the 20th anniversary of the Resident Evil franchise, and Capcom has a number of releases planned. In addition to the current-gen updates of Resident Evil 4 through 6, a full HD remake of Resident Evil 2 is planned. Umbrella Corps, a team-based shooter, is also due out on June 21.
Update: Capcom has confirmed the release date and included DLC details.

Our Take
Microsoft’s listings aren’t always accurate. However, this likely gives us a good idea of a release window and contents.
