Five Nights At Freddy's Creator Teases New Game Sister Location

by Elise Favis on Apr 24, 2016 at 06:22 AM

Scott Cawthon, creator of the Five Nights at Freddy's horror franchise inspired by Chuck E. Cheese's animatronic animals, is teasing a new game called Sister Location on his website.

No further details have been released, but it appears to be connected to the Five Nights at Freddy's series. The name Sister Location is a possible hint that this new entry will take place in a different setting than the previous games.

Last year, we found out that a Five Nights at Freddy's film adaptation was in the works. Five Nights at Freddy's 4 was the latest instalment in the series, and you can view its trailer here.

Our Take
Five Nights at Freddy's 4 was supposed to be the last entry in the series, and it's hard to say whether this new game is a sequel or a spin-off. It definitely looks to be Five Nights at Freddy's related because of the animatronic figure in the background. I hope that this new game also comes with a new direction, such as relying less on jump scares. When the first game released back in 2014, I enjoyed it for its novelty and scares, but I think if the series wants to continue its popularity, some fresh ideas wouldn't hurt.
