The Technomancer Gets A Summer Release Date

by Connor Trinske on Apr 19, 2016 at 08:17 AM

Spiders Studio's upcoming action/RPG had some new details revealed today. The most important among them is the release date; The Technomancer will be arriving this summer on June 21.

As a Technomancer who wields electricity through his implants, players will journey through the settlements and canyons of Mars while facing its many threats. Combat is centered on three different fighting styles, which are based on your changeable stances during fights. The staff's mobility and damage is good against groups, the blade and gun use dodging and mobility to control the battle, and the sword and shield stance focuses on defense and parrying for critical hits. Using your electrical buffs to boost attack and defense is also important to gain an advantage.

Spiders Studio is known for their previous work with Bound By Flame, but the developer says that The Technomancer is its "biggest and most expansive RPG yet." The game will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Our Take
Spiders has said that The Technomancer is between 25 to 30 hours in length, and possibly as much as 50 hours with sidequests included. With that in mind, the claim about making the studio's largest RPG yet isn't just blowing smoke. Playing as an electrically-charged corporate agent on Mars doesn't sound too bad, either.
