Bandai Namco Raids Its Vaults In HD Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, Dig Dug Ports

by Jeff Cork on Apr 14, 2016 at 05:17 AM

Bandai Namco is releasing new HD versions of Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, and Dig Dug next week, in case you're on a mission to have these games on absolutely every gaming device that you own.

The updates include HD bezel art, leaderboard and trophies, and the same gameplay you experienced decades ago. They're coming April 20, either individually or in a three-game bundle that includes Pac-Man, Galaga, and Dig Dug. Ms. Pac-Man curiously has to sit that one out.

We've reached out to Bandai Namco about pricing, and we'll update the story if we get additional details.

Update: Bandai Namco says the games are priced individually at $3.99. The bundle of three games (absent Ms. Pac-Man) is $7.99. All four games are coming PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam.

Our Take
I've bought these games in a number of different variations and bundles throughout the years. I think I'm good now, especially since these ports don't appear to add anything of any value.
