2014's reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles films was met with mixed reception. While some had concerns about the turtles' character design or how Shredder was handled, many fans and critics agreed that it was an entertaining film despite its flaws. The sequel to that film, TMNT: Out of the Shadows, looks like the filmmakers are aiming to course-correct the things that went wrong in the first movie while continuing to inject even more fun as evident by the latest trailer.

The upcoming film introduces mainstay characters like Krang, Casey Jones, Bebop, and Rocksteady. It also looks like the turtles are flirting with the idea of experimenting with the ooze that transforms two humans in to Bebop & Rocksteady, which causes some conflict among the brothers.
