Everybody's Gone To The Rapture Is Officially Coming To PC

by Elise Favis on Apr 02, 2016 at 08:04 AM

After an onslaught of rumors in the last few months, The Chinese Room officially announced yesterday on Twitter that the game will arrive on PC, meaning it will no longer be a PlayStation 4 exclusive.

The news comes after leaked information appeared on Steam's database and patch notes for recent AMD graphics drivers mentioned the game, all pointing towards a probable release on PC.

The development team confirmed in later tweets that this was not an April Fools joke. No release date has been unveiled at this point in time. Earlier this year, the game was awarded the top prize at the The British Writer's Guild Awards. For more on Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, read our review and watch our Test Chamber.

Our Take
It doesn't surprise me that this game is coming to PC finally after the many hints these past couple months. Many "walking simulators" have released on PC, and the gameplay interface is perfect for that platform.
