Last Call For Summer 2016 Game Informer Intern Applications

by Ben Reeves on Mar 21, 2016 at 12:55 PM

Spring just got here, but summer isn't far behind, and with the changing seasons comes a new opportunity for aspiring video games journalists. We're still accepting applications for Game Informer's summer internship term.

For details on Game Informer's three month-long writing internship program, click here. If that sounds enticing, you can send your application (cover letter, resume, portfolio, etc.) to ben@gameinformer.com. The summer internship will run from May 18 to August 17. We're currently accepting applications until March 31, so if you're interested please send yours along before then!

This term we’re also accepting applications for video interns. This program is designed to help interns learn about the intricacies of video game journalism and video production by giving them an opportunity to practice game capture, filming discussions, studio tech, and editing. Successful interns will see stories published online. To ask questions, or to apply for the video internship please send a resume, cover letter, and links to your previous video work alongside an explanation of your role in creating it to hanson@gameinformer.com.

You can learn all about our current group of awesome interns and the paths that led them here by reading their introductory posts here. You can also learn more about Game Informer's internship program from the mouths of our Fall 2015 interns themselves: Marcus Stewart, Parker Lemke, and Joseph Knoop discussed the experience on the episode of The GI Show seen below (skip to the intern section here.)
