Six Flags announced that they're planning on bringing virtual reality to some of their roller coasters, thanks to a partnership with Samsung Gear VR and the Oculus Rift.

Virtual reality is the gaming industry's biggest buzzword lately, but that doesn't mean it's exclusive to games. The video below showcases just what it'll be like to ride a roller coaster that's movements are synchronized to a VR headset.

The virtual reality rides include The New Revolution, which gives the impression of flying a fighter jet, and Superman, which will be like flying as the superhero. The New Revolution will open in Texas, Atlanta, Los Angeles, St. Louis, New York, and Montreal. The Superman experience, on the other hand, is heading to Texas, Massachusetts, and Maryland.

Six Flag season pass holders will be able to experience an exclusive preview of the virtual reality roller coaster experience at participating amusement parks starting as early as March 26. These virtual reality experiences will release to the general public at a later date.

Samsung Gear VR has already launched at the starting price of $99. Other VR headsets are still underway, with Oculus Rift ($599), PlayStation VR ($399), and HTC Vive ($799) all set to release later this year.
