Sony Is Holding A Job Fair For Lionhead Studios Employees

by Mike Futter on Mar 10, 2016 at 07:22 AM

It's been a hard week for Fable fans, as Microsoft announced on Monday that it had canceled Fable Legends and was beginning the process of shutting down developer Lionhead. The company is working to place the studio’s employees elsewhere in the company, but chances are it won’t find space for all of them.

Today, Sony has announced that it’s pitching in. The company announced via its PlayStation Jobs Twitter account that it will be hosting a job fair in Guildford, UK, for those affected by the likely studio closure.

The Lionhead closure wasn’t the only change Microsoft made on Monday. The publisher announced it was shuttering Press Play, the developer behind Max: The Curse of Brotherhood and in the in-progress Project Knoxville.

For more on the Lionhead closure and how Microsoft got to this point, read up in our coverage from Monday.

Our Take
It’s great to see other companies step up to help the many Lionhead employees who may very well be out of work in the next month. Sony, along with a number of other UK studios are stepping up to make open positions visible.
